as a student athletes I have a routine that helps me going through classes, practices and games .
6:00 AM – Wake Up and Morning Stretch
The alarm goes off, and I start my day with some light stretching to wake up my body. Staying flexible is key for preventing injuries, especially with all the running I do. A quick protein smoothie gets me fueled for the morning.
6:30 AM – Team Conditioning Workout
I head to the training facility for a team conditioning session. It’s a mix of cardio, agility drills, and strength training. It’s intense, but I love the energy of working out alongside my teammates.
8:00 AM – Breakfast and Recovery
After the workout, I grab a hearty breakfast at the dining hall—eggs, toast, avocado, and fruit. Hydration is critical, so I drink plenty of water and maybe an electrolyte drink.
9:00 AM – Classes Begin
Time to switch into student mode. I have a mix of lectures and study sessions today. Balancing academics and athletics is tough, but I’ve got a schedule that keeps me on track. I take notes and participate in discussions, knowing every credit counts toward graduation.
12:00 PM – Lunch and Rest
I eat a nutritious lunch, making sure to include lean protein, vegetables, and carbs to replenish my energy. Afterward, I take some downtime—either catching up with friends or sneaking in a 20-minute power nap.
2:00 PM – Team Practice
This is the highlight of my day. Practice is a mix of tactical drills, scrimmages, and individual skill work. Coach pushes us hard, but it’s rewarding to see improvement in my game.
4:30 PM – Post-Practice Recovery
I spend time in the athletic training room for recovery. Ice baths, foam rolling, or working with the trainer to address any soreness or minor injuries—it’s all about keeping my body ready for the next challenge.
5:30 PM – Evening Classes or Study Hall
If I have an evening class, I head straight there; otherwise, it’s study hall time. The academic advisors make sure we’re keeping up with coursework, and I use this time to finish assignments or review notes.
7:30 PM – Dinner with Teammates
Dinner is always more fun when I share it with teammates. It’s a chance to bond off the field, talk about the day, and laugh about whatever’s on our minds.
9:00 PM – Personal Time
I unwind in my dorm or apartment. This might mean watching Netflix, playing video games, or calling family back home. I also spend a few minutes journaling about the day or planning for tomorrow.
10:30 PM – Lights Out
By this time, I’m ready to crash. I set my alarm, make sure my gear is ready for the next day, and fall asleep, knowing another busy but rewarding day is ahead.
